Daily Diary, Day 674: Last full day of family visiting. Not much planned. I think boys are tired of beach and pool, and because of local Covid surge, the usual trips to Lego Land and Sea World not good options. Crowds, particularly with July Fourth week when city is filled with visitors, makes it hard to isolate, even outdoors, and lines snake through crowded indoor areas for most rides. Not a day goes by without someone I know posting on FB that they or a family member have gotten Covid, sometimes for the second time, so we are still being very cautious.
I got in a walk this morning, 50 minutes. Alternated listening to the newest Sarah Paretsky mystery and sampling the podcast interviews of indie science fiction writers on AlternateFutures. I am finding it interesting the variety of backgrounds these writers bring to their writing.
On the walk, found this beautiful rose bush still with fresh blooms.
Love the rose picture. Thank you for posting this!
