Daily Diary, Day 693: First of all, thanks to all of you who responded so positively to the poem by my father that i posted yesterday. He would be so tickled by the idea of people living around the world reading his work.
I had a very productive weekend. Saturday I started sketching out the first scenes for the 4th novel in my Caelestis science fiction series, the working title, Against the Tides of Acerba. Then yesterday, I actually got 1179 words written. A great first day.
My daily goal is 1000 words, although I will be happy if I average 500 at first, if only because most of my days aren’t nearly as free as yesterday was. For example, today, in addition to my hour walk that I just completed, there is the bi-weekly dog play date with Rio scheduled, then I have a phone date with a good author friend (and we do tend to talk for hours!) and a second hour-long phone call scheduled with another friend in the late afternoon. Mid-day is taken up with exercises, light cleaning, lunch, and then finally time to write. Consequently, if I am lucky ,I will have 2 hours to write today.
Then again, maybe I will write some after dinner if I am on a roll!
Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend and a good start to your week and here is daisy from my walk today with the colors of candy corn!
