Daily Diary, Day 689: I have noticed that no matter when I start my day, no matter what I have on my agenda, it is almost always between 10-11 that I finish all the things I do daily to maintain body and soul and domicile. Today was no exception. So here is my reminder to myself to be grateful for the fact that I have the time to ease into my days in this fashion, instead of rushing around so that I was ready to be at work by 7 AM to teach my 8 o'clock classes!
I got off on my walk earlier this morning, but the sun came out earlier, so I was still pretty wiped out by the time I got home. But I did manage the full 60 mins, mainly by playing the Beatles the last 20 minutes to cheer me on.
Did more plotting work yesterday, also repotted two orchids and two pots of basil after dinner when it was a little cooler. We then watched episodes of Irma Vep and Ruicon.
This morning, I read a piece on substack about how to maintain your joy in writing that recommended having a working title for any project. Since I had already complained about not having one in yesterday's post, I decided this was a not so gentle hint that I should devote some time today to this task. Maybe I will have that for you all tomorrow.
Meanwhile, here is a picture of my repotted plants, who I am hoping are going to be happy enough to weather the heat of the next few months.
