Daily Diary, Day 686: I felt it was a productive weekend in terms of making it through most of the Paradisi Chronicles books and beginning to think about the main elements I would l like to address in the next book (or books) in my series.
I also slowly upped my walking again, and was able to do the full hour this morning before it got too hot and I got too tired.
I've sold over 250 copies of the new novella, and this has put it in the top 50 in both the historical mystery and the mysteries with an amateur sleuth categories on Kindle, which is a nice way of introducing my series to people browsing those categories. It already has 9 5-star ratings there (thanks to those of you who do this, it really helps.)
I remember when Maids of Misfortune was first published (over 12 years ago) and it took a full year to get 10 reviews! Entangled Threads, my newest full-length novel, has only been out 6 months and it already has 400 reviews. That is definitely thanks to all of you who are fans of the series.
Rio has come to play (Leeza seemed it feel it was too hot to romp around for more than a few minutes at a time), and now I have a whole list of things to do related to marketing the new novella and getting ready for my podcast interview tomorrow. Another busy but varied day planned. I certainly never have any reason to complain about being bored.
There is one house in my daily walk that somehow has been able to keep their roses blooming. I am really impressed. I know lots of you in the northern hemisphere are sweltering, so stay cool and stay safe!
Lovely roses, it’s great that your neighbor is able to keep them going and curious where your Paradisi story will go.
This is so cool, Mary Lou! To see how far your writing has come! So proud of all you have accomplished!
