Daily Diary, Day 683: Mrs. Stein Solves a Crime, my new novella (38,000+ words so it will take you at least a few hours to read), is now live on Kindle, Apple, and Kobo.
As I expected, my afternoon yesterday was very busy, with a few tasks connected to publishing (get the new book in the right categories for Kindle) squeezed in before watching TV. We are currently rewatching a spy series, Rubicon, and a British show about agents, called 10 percent. Very different, but both enjoyable.
This morning I am bustling around to get ready for cleaning service-first I've used in 3 years-that will give the bathrooms and floors a good scrub. These are the areas that I can't do very well. We will see if they make enough difference to warrant having them come in 1 or 2 times a month. Of course, the fact that Covid cases are continuing to rise here makes me nervous, but my husband and I will be outside while they are here, and I will have windows and air purifiers going full blast.
Again, no walk scheduled, although if it doesn't get too hot, I will try to get in at least a short one this evening. Otherwise, I will try to keep from checking my dashboards obsessively to see how many of the novellas have sold today (smile.) Here are some balloons in celebration!
Congrats on the novella drop!! Woohoo. 👏🏾
The original French Ten Percent is outstanding. We watched the British one too. It has a great cast and was enjoyable. But as so often happens when another country mimics a show, we thought it lost something in the translation and the original was a superior production.
