Daily Diary, Day 1048: Day started out with a thick fog, which burned off quickly. Interestingly, the peak of 80 degrees came at 11, but has been dropping slowly, since then so that it is now only 78, and we haven't felt the need to turn on AC yet. Yesterday it stayed in the low 80s from 10 until 4, so it makes sense the house got hotter and we did need the A/C.
I got going on my usual, slightly more thorough cleaning of the upstairs early, putting in over an hour by 8:30, and then took my 30 minute walk. Thanks goodness I am enjoying my audiobook (Elizabeth Peter's The Last Camel died at Noon), because it was already uncomfortably hot. I read the first couple of Peters when they first came out, but that was decades ago.
We finished the first season of Orphan Black last night, I had forgotten how many plot strands they got into that first season!
The rest of the morning was spent working on my data for May's sales, and in a few minutes I have a scheduled phone call. I did get 570 words written yesterday, and I'm about 2 paragraphs from finishing this scene, which I hope to do after this afternoon's phone call. But got to go help change the bed linens and put on some laundry now!
Having shifted to orange as the color I am looking for in plants, here is a very odd one. I've only seen it in one yard.
