Daily Diary, Day 1045:
Hi, I’m Mary Louisa Locke, the author of the USA Today best-selling Victorian San Francisco Mystery series and the Caelestis Science Fiction series. If you have received this newsletter reflecting on my life as an indie author trying to age gracefully, it is either because you subscribed or someone forwarded it to you. Really lovely summer day, today. Light mist in the morning that made my early walk (at 8:30 am) pleasant. It is supposed to get up to 83 degrees, but is only 74 degrees in our neighborhood right now, with a nice breeze still coming up from the canyon.
My aches from gardening are getting less noticeable every day, and once again I had almost 8 hours sleep. And I have nearly written 300 words on the short story so far today, as well as spent time scheduling a promotion (my little bit of marketing for the day.) Now I am waiting for a phone call, but hope it is short enough so that I will get a little more written before my second walk. So, all-in-all a good day.
Here are couple of yellow blooms from my walks last week, nice and sunny, like the day.
Is this a yellow hibiscus? I can't tell...I usually see the pinks or reds. It is beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
