Daily Diary, Day 1044: First, thanks for all your kind comments about my post and the Heron garden. And today, the two men who usually cut our lawn did a great job of cleaning out the strip of land that had been overgrown by some huge plans that keep coming over from the neighbors yard as well as our own crop of weeds. I also got some small frogs in the mail that I am using in the heron garden to mark the place where there are pipes that go to the main water connection to the house that we need to keep track of. See photos below.
Today has played itself out pretty much as I expected, except that I actually got 164 words written, despite two unanticipated phone calls. I'm still sore, but getting better (and had 8 hours of sleep!) and I am going to try a short walk as soon as I get this posted.
Then a phone call, then, hey, maybe I will get another 100 or so words written. We have started rewatching Orphan Black, and so far I am really enjoying the experience. Even though I know the basic plot, I am having fun watching it unfold, and oh my, the actress' ability to play so many parts in a way that has me completely believing they are separate individuals is so amazing!
Another sunny day, and it is supposed to start getting up into the 80s over the next week. Maybe we will even pretend that is hot enough to try our new A/C. Since we expanded the solar panels and put in the heat pump we not only have not turned on either the heat or A/c once, but we are busy racking up hundreds of dollars in credit from the solar power we are generating!
So, off to walk, and see if I can find any more new grant or yellow blooms.
