Daily Diary, Day 857: 691 words written today. I think the last two days were slow because I was working on a scene that unpacked the main character's emotions, which seem to take longer than straight dialog or action. This next chapter is more action oriented, so I hope this means it goes faster.
Beautiful sunny day, although never got above 59. I was careful and took the cleaning in two stages, total 40 mins, no pain. Then this afternoon, I walked 20 mins, very gently. At about the 10 min mark, mild pain, but after a shower and sitting down, the pain has retreated. The test will be how I do tonight in terms of sleeping, I hope without advil. If all goes well, I will experiment tomorrow with adding on 5 mins or so to the walk. Baby steps, literally (smile).
After I post this, I will be doing some work on changing prices. I had a small discount on Bloody Lessons and Deadly Proof to go along with Uneasy Spirits only being 99 cents and Pilfered Promises Free this past week. I will end the discount of Bloody Lessons and Deadly Proof today, end the 99 cent sale on Uneasy Spirits and Pilfered Promises on Sunday. So, if you have been debating getting or gifting any of these books, you might want to hustle and do it.
I had a Bookbub promotion for Pilfered Promises, and it hit #8 today on the total Kindle Bestselling Free book list. Uneasy Spirits Spirits at 99 cents is #35 in the Historical Mystery Bestseller category. The hope, of course, is always that people will try these books out at the discount price and then just have to go buy the rest of the series.
Because my walk was so short, I was having trouble coming up with new photos to snap for the post today. Then as I came down the hill towards my house I noticed a lot of crows circling at the end of the street. A good dozen or more settled at the very top of a tree, then all flew away. So here is what I was able to get.
Crows and changeable weather...definitely two of my favorite things.
Glad to hear that the book sale is going well.
