Daily Diary, Day 877: Thank you all for the likes and comments and birthday good wishes. I had a lovely day yesterday. Very good balance, in that I did get 50 minutes of walking, I wrote 1252 words, had an enjoyable hour-long phone call with my daughter, and even had time over lunch and dinner to get caught up with some of my daily readings about the publishing industry.
I'm posting early today, because after 50 minute walk, cleaning and laundry, doing a marketing task (creating some graphics) and a shower, I now only have 30 minutes before I have a phone call, followed by a noon zoom meeting, followed by a second long phone call.
So, my goal is to get my lunch ready ahead of time after this post, then I hope I will have 2 solid hours in the late afternoon to write.
We are having a Santa Ana, warm--high 60's, very high wind. To the east it is blowing over semi-trailer trucks. So far our local weather monitor is showing gusts between 5 to 10 miles per hour. We are in the flight path of the MiraMar naval airbase, and we can tell when the winds are bad because their patterns of take-off and landing switch, so that adds to the excitement.
The rain and then the warm weather we have had this week resulted in a tree blossoming. Not sure what kind it is, but very pretty!
I'm sorry that I didn't get to wish you a Happy Birthday yesterday. Happy belated Birthday today!
You are one busy lady!!
