Daily Diary, Day 874: As predicted, numerous phone calls have precluded me getting much written. Only 252 words so far, and unless I decide to work after dinner, probably that's all. Tomorrow the window cleaners are coming, but I think that's all that is scheduled, so I hope to catch up.
I did get in a 40 minute walk, lovely sunny day, and I found a few blooms hidden away here and there. Today I will put up some more narcissus that were hiding an a front yard that had lots of succulents, so lots of green, but no other blooms.
One of the phone calls was from someone interested in hearing about my indie author experience. That took some preparation ahead of time so I didn't fill up the time rambling, but it was a fun phone call.
We are also slowly making some progress on the whole, shall we get a heat pump, and if so how much do we have to expand our solar capacity to handle the additional electrical drain, process today, which took up some writing time. We are also looking into getting a battery system that can store the power we create. California had been very supportive of solar, but recently there have been changes so that the power companies can charge more and pay solar producers less. Very frustrating.
Last night we rewatched another Vera, and it looks like season 12 (which they are saying is the last) may be out in a couple of weeks. We also watched old pilot episode of Burn Notice, which we had enjoyed the first time around. I enjoyed enough to keep watching (although I doubt we stuck with it the full 7 seasons the first time around.) Not sure my husband felt the same way. If you made one of those venn diagrams, there is a pretty large overlap in terms of tv and film we both enjoy, but there are also about a third of each of our circles that don't overlap, so deciding what to watch is often a negotiation.
Ok, time to prepare for next phone call, so signing out until tomorrow!
