Daily Diary, Day 868: Today the sun was in and out, interspersed with showers that lasted no more than a minute. You know me, I think that is just great, changeable weather. My husband who kept believing the weather forecast kept taking the dog for a walk and getting caught in those brief downpours.
The rain over the previous 3 days was really remarkable. According to our neighborhood station, not counting today's brief showers, we totaled 5.71 inches. When you consider the total for San Diego for the entire year 2022 was only 5.9 inches, that is remarkable.
And it was a lot of fun to watch the rain from the comfort of the house, because, somehow, I have no idea how, the top of my left foot (not the one where I broke my toe last year) started to hurt three days ago, so I've been cleaning, but not going for walks in the rain.
It feels fine right now and I do hope that I can start back up walking, if only for a few minutes, tomorrow.
However, between the rain and keeping off the foot, I have gotten in some good days of writing, having already hit 3,123 words for the week.
But I now have phone call scheduled, the second for the day, so time to sign off with a photo from before the rain of a nice pink bloom.
