Welcome, I’m Mary Louisa Locke, the author of the USA Today best-selling Victorian San Francisco Mystery series and the Caelestis Science Fiction series. In this daily newsletter, I reflect on my life as an indie author trying to age gracefully. Occasionally, I will also publish some of my shorter fiction in this newsletter to read for free.
Daily Diary, Day 1773:
Edgar and friends: A lot of activity this morning. After a day away, I saw Edgar this morning, going across the ceiling, Junior was missing, as was Miss Teeny, but then I spied Junior up near the ceiling near the wall next to the toilet. About an hour later, there was no Edgar to be found, but Junior was back in his spot from yesterday, back near ceiling and wall over the sink. Where does Edgar go? More will hopefully be revealed tomorrow, on As the Web Turns!
Yesterday was one of those days that dawned bright and sunny, so I was glad to get in my two walks before lunch. While the optical technician I have been working with for the past couple of years for my glasses wasn’t able to make an adjustment to my frames to solve the problem, she did discover that the problem was probably in the way the company that produced the correction…in the right lens…which was most likely why reading was blurry but distance wasn’t. So, back the glasses go to the manufacturer. I hope when they do the prescription right, this will solve the problem, because I really do like how the glasses fit. Very light, comfortable, so it would be nice if I didn’t have to find some other frame.
The person I had a phone call scheduled with after my zoom meeting yesterday had to cancel, so this gave me some free time, which I used to do some journaling, reading, and ordering groceries to be delivered yesterday. Today, when we would usually order we have a technician coming to inspect our heat pump, change filters, etc. And since I have a very early zoom meeting, we thought that it would make life simpler if we weren’t adding in a grocery delivery.
So, I’ve done yoga, and will post this and then go on my first walk today, so I can be back for the 8:30 zoom call. Yesterday I had my elephant sitting next to me while I did some work on my laptop at the dining room table. Then I brought her upstairs with me to keep me company during yoga, and will leave her there for now to accompany me on my zoom call.

Here are some white flowers for today’s viewing.

....I see a new book Trilogy coming....glad Junior has been found but where is Miss Teeny????
No sign all day of the big DLL who was hanging around yesterday. Perhaps he's on a road trip with Edgar?
