Daily Diary, Day 888: Another productive day of writing, the second in a row getting slightly more than 1000 words written. I also got in a 40 minute walk on top of 30 minutes cleaning. I have a phone call scheduled soon that may run until dinner time, so I need to get this post done, so I can first do my 3rd hot compress on eye for the day.
I also started the anti-biotic cream today, hoping to give the oral one a boost, since I'm not really seeing any appreciable change yet. The course of the oral anti-biotic is 6 weeks, so I suspect that this means the resolution of the infection is going to be slow at first. At least the discomfort has eased (or I've gotten used to it) but basically it isn't bothering me at night, and is pretty easy to ignore during the day.
After finishing listening to Who's Body, the first Dorothy Sayers mystery, I've started listening to a Joe Leaphorn, Tony Hillerman mystery. All old favorites, which really are perfect for my walks and cleaning. There was another new Vera that we watched last night, and we have started watching old episodes of Becker right before bed. We watched a couple of seasons of Cheers, Danson's first series, but eventually got tired of it. So far we have gotten almost done with two seasons of Becker, not tired of it yet. It's on a station, Pluto, with ads. I don't know when we've had to sit through ads! But I've been using the ads to do the last minute computer cleanup-getting rid of emails, etc. so that has been working well.
It seems that only the succulents are showing any color right now. The orange and yellow on this plant always reminds me of candy corn! A candy that I frankly hated (smile.) But it does provide a nice spot of color to the neighborhood.
