Daily Diary, Day 887: A lovely, quiet, productive day. The only phone call got canceled, I got all the downstairs cleaned (and I am now on my sixth load of laundry), so I should be free of most chores tomorrow.
I have stopped trying to walk on these Sunday's when I am on my feet for well over an hour and a half cleaning. But that was just as well, because completely unexpectedly it rained this morning! Started out as a morning fog, and my husband bravely took Leeza out for her long walk, thinking all that he had to worry about was getting a little damp from mist. But it really ended up more a heavy drizzle and it started when he was at the furthest distance from the house, so he just had to grit his teeth and get home. He was soaked by that time.
Leeza was not best pleased at all. She made us laugh later in the day when she kept hesitating about going out into the back yard, as if she feared that, despite the fact that the sun had come out, the sky was going to dump water on her!
With no phone calls, I got 1158 words written, and that was the best thing about the day. But now it is time to soak my stye for the third time today. I wish I could say it has gotten better, but so far, not really. Although it didn't ache and sting last night, which was a vast improvement.
Here are some more narcissus from my walk yesterday, they were more yellow than I had seen. I wonder how they liked the drizzle. A little touch of spring for those of you in the states where it has been absolutely freezing, with not even snow to brighten your winter!
The narcissus are a lovely breath of spring! Hope the stye gets better soon.
Still so sorry about your eye :(
