Daily Diary, Day 896: Happy Valentine's Day for those of you who like to celebrate such things. I confess, the extent of our celebration was sending my husband an ecard, and the two of us blowing kisses to each other as we sat side by side on the couch with our laptops in front of us!
But a good day of writing, 815 words, which would have been more if I hadn't had a call from my favorite young relative, who I love chatting with every month or so. He's got a very busy life, so I pretty much always pick up when I see it is him calling.
I had a better night's sleep, the eye is very slowly getting better, and I am feeling good about the writing progress. I am also making peace with the fact that it has been several days since I last walked. I did 45 minutes of cleaning today, and the fact that it was gray, drizzled off and on all day, and is cold and windy, made it easy for me to decide I would rather write!
We watched an old episode of Vera last night, and an episode of Burn Notice, both of which we enjoyed. Not sure what is on tap for tonight. But it is time for me to make dinner, so this is going to be a short post. Here is a photo from this morning of a song sparrow eating from our new bird feeder. Such fun to look up from writing and see the birds through the dinning room window.
Good to hear the eye is slowly getting better!
