Daily Diary, Day 851:

My plan for today was to do a review of how successful I was with achieving my 2022 goals, finishing up with a second post tomorrow setting forth my new 2023 goals. And I did get started on today’s post, but it is near dinner time, and I am not yet done. So new plan.

The truth is, in starting to write the post for today, I discovered my list for next year is pretty identical to last year’s list, with only a couple modifications and additions. So, it makes sense for me to combine the two posts, and put it up tomorrow.

However, I think you will be glad to hear that the reason that I didn’t get the post done today is that I prioritized my novel. As a result, I currently have 1644 words written, and I blew past the 100,000 word mark today, a great start to the week. It helped that I got a good night’s sleep. And in addition to the writing, I got 90 mins of exercise today, using cleaning as a break before lunch, and walking as a break in late afternoon.

And even some hiccups in terms of writing and exercise time last week, I averaged 73 mins of exercise a day and totaled 6053 words written (and that was all on the novel, so who knows how many thousands I did if I counted my daily facebook and substack posts--smile.)

As you can tell, I am feeling quite pleased with myself. In not little part because as I started my review yesterday after dinner, I discovered that I did a remarkably good job of meeting all my 2022 goals! But you will have to wait until tomorrow’s post to get the details on that success.

Meanwhile, here is another tree to check out. On one hand, as a palm tree, it is one of gazillions that are in the neighborhood, since palm trees of one kind or another really can be found in about every third yard. However, I had never before noticed these, I guess they are seeds, berries? on one before.
