Daily Diary, Day 849: My grandson's birthday today, he turned 13. Getting his first desk to do his work at for this birthday. Before we know it, it will be his first driver's license!
While I did have my usual noon zoom meeting, I didn't have any scheduled calls, and I worked on getting writing done before walking. Decided that whenever possible I will postpone walking (not the cleaning) until I get at least 1000 words written, which I achieved by 3 pm today.
I just got back from this walk, very cloudy, and night coming on fast. I only did 50 minutes (I need to get started on dinner) but I am beginning to add a couple of minutes each walk in going down this very steep hill right before my house. Going down, of course, isn't the goal, but trudging back up is.
I got about a 1/3 of the way down, and it took me 2 mins to go back up, and I definitely got my heart rate up. I also took some more tree pictures on the walk; this time simply of one of the trees that had leaves that turned colors. Somehow in the last 2 days, all these trees pretty much completely lost their leaves all through the neighborhood. Probably the storm we had night before last.
I particularly liked this shot because of the crow sitting at the top of the tree. I also enjoyed scuffling through the leaves under another one of the denuded trees on the walk.
Now, time for dinner! The walk this late in the day made me hungry!

I love walking with a camera. Snap shot or none I think about what I'm seeing. But each snap will remind me of that moment. And if I scribble a word or two I'll live my entire moment forever.
You definitely have an artist's eye in all of your pictures. And finding a different theme and perspective on each walk is inspiring: I've been making more effort to do the same on my twice daily walks.
thank you. Happy birthday to your grandson too. Hard having a birthday during end of year holiday season when you're a kid.😊
