Daily Diary, Day 821: I have almost finished my quick skim through the draftto make the required tweaks in response to the section I just inserted in chapter 10.
I am still on track to start new writing tomorrow with chapter 25. Despite doing mostly cutting today, I still ended up writing 247 new words.
Also had my 60 min walk, did my daily cleaning, and had my regular Thursday noon zoom meeting.
My daughter took her oldest son in for a regular doctor's appointment this morning and reported that, while he is only turning 13 at the end of this month, he is already 5' 6." Definitely much taller than his mother and me already. Given that one of his half brothers is around 6' 9", and an another half sister is nearly 6', he still has a good deal more of growing in front of him.
Was cold and cloudy today, but no rain, which we really, really need. My daughter, up in Olympia Washington, had snow. I do not envy her driving in that kind of weather.
I am still looking for signs of fall and noticed that while there are only about five houses in the neighborhood that have trees that have changed color, and even those have been fairly anemic in terms of how bright the foliage is, the fallen leaves do make a colorful splash on the ground. This house also has a handsome wreath and it looks like some poinsettia, very festive.
We have continued to enjoy watching Graham Norton, and we have also watched new episodes of Whitstable Pearl, about a cop and a private detective. But tonight we are going to start watching the new Louise Penny series. Keeping fingers crossed that it is good, although will be hard to live up to the books, which are excellent.
