Daily Diary, Tuesday, Day 1081: (Had an exciting time Monday with a wellness check that ended up with multiple blood tests and scans to determine that my slightly off symptoms and initial blood test results didn’t mean I had a blood clot—and didn’t get me home from the ER until near 1 pm.
So, not enough sleep Monday night meant very slow day yesterday-and a lot of gratitude for having drafted the Editing post ahead of time.) I am now at the stage of scheduling tests and consultations with my endocrinologist over the next couple of months, which says to me the slight anomalies (once blood clot was ruled out) are not emergencies.
Yesterday, I worked a little on Ddaera's Embrace, and we watched the newest episode of Murders in the Building. I also spent a good deal of the afternoon scaring away a squirrel and then a mouse from the bird feeder! We had noticed that when there was seed left in the feeder at night it was gone by morning, (we figured taken by squirrel or mouse), so my husband has started only filling the feeder part way, so it is pretty much empty by end of day. I guess the squirrel and mouse figured this out and decided they needed to eat during the day.
Our dog Leeza now recognizes when I utter squirrel and start to get up to tap on the window, so she comes running to bounce at the window and bark. Then asks to go out to sniff along the fence.
I got a good night's sleep last night, and feel much perkier this morning. It was sunny earlier than usual, and I got in pleasant 30 minute walk, spent an hour on a scheduled phone call, and I have put away the groceries. I have every expectation of doing more plotting on Ddaera's Embrace this afternoon after lunch.
Didn't see any new blooms on the walk, so I thought I should shift over to succulents, which are the one kind of plant that weathers this late summer/early fall weather.
It’s good to take care of yourself along with your characters. 😄
One of your many, many talents is obviously being a great photographer as well. So appreciate the lovely pictures of flowers. Trust that you will continue to heal and physical problems will not be serious.
