Daily Diary, Day 711: Well, the consensus seems to be that the bright pink flower I showed day after yesterday is a zinnia, not an hydrangea. And my confusion explains why I generally don't try to figure out what to call anything beyond a rose (smile.)
I did my 60 min walk this morning, but I confess it took great discipline to do so. It was only in the low 70s, but sun was bright and humidity 87% and not a whisper of a breeze. But I am sure my body will thank me later.
I can't believe it is already Friday, which means it is time to start my more thorough cleaning for the week. Already on 3rd load of laundry, got the upstairs taken care of, one phone call, and another scheduled, but I should get in an hour of writing before lunch. I got 1296 words written yesterday, so this week is definitely going to be my highest daily word count.
I had to laugh at myself yesterday afternoon when I realized I spent hours figuring out a reasonable cultural explanation for why a subordinate in this new world would feel comfortable calling a boss by their first name, but the boss would normally call them by their last name (the reverse of Earth etiquette.) I was actually pleased with my solution, but I also know that in the end product these couple of paragraphs very well might be cut as irrelevant. But then, the first reader I write for is me, and these paragraphs tickled me.
Couldn't find a single new bloom to photograph today, but did take a different route and discovered this yard. This is only about a third of the little statues the yard had, and the whole thing definitely made me smile. I particularly liked the Boston Terrier at the top left and the pig at the bottom. Not sure how they fit in with the general Easter Egg theme, but a real shot of joy over all.

Thanks! I enjoyed the bunny yard with all its goodies.
