Daily Diary, Day 700: I am having trouble believing it is already August. Times certainly just flies by. Very good weekend of writing, I averaged 1431 words over the two days.
Got good full hour walks in yesterday and today. However, with the full sun and not much breeze, even thought I am out walking before 8 AM, the only way I didn't succumb to the heat and head for home after 45 mins was that the last long block has some shade trees and gets some breeze. The other factor that keeps me going is that currently on the Spotify play list I am listening to, the Beatles are playing some very early work-mostly cover versions of other artists, with lots of muffed lines. For some reason I am finding this very engaging and it has helped get me through the last 15 mins of the walk.
We watched the new Persuasion this weekend. I enjoyed, the modernisms didn't bother me, and since this has never been my favorite Austen, I didn't have some cherished version I felt the need to compare it to. Watching this movie prompted my husband to search out Love and Friendship, a movie that was done a couple of years ago based on an Austin short story. So we rewatched that last night and found it quite as amusing as we remembered.
Time to start writing again, see if I can keep up the average word count.
I love the soft pink of these blossoms that I found on my walk yesterday.
