Day 583: (this is a continuation of the daily diary I have been writing publicly since August 23, 2020.
Another morning that started out very foggy, but it is already burning off, and it is supposed to get considerably warmer...they are now predicting 90s by Friday! This isn't normal for April in San Diego.
Yesterday, I got side-tracked reading a dissertation on the Germans in San Francisco in early Gold Rush days for my "Mrs. Stein Solves a Crime" short story, so I only got 233 words written. But hey, that's half the fun of writing historical fiction.
A loaf of whole wheat bread just came out of the oven (my husband makes bread every 5 or so days. Poor man, decades of dust allergies has meant he no longer has any sense of smell, so he doesn't get the joy of how wonderful it smells.
I've gotten my walk done, so I am going to go have a slice with some real butter on it! I can tell I'm recovering my stamina. Still trying to take my 60 min walk in 2 bits because the right foot where I broke my toe still aches if I go too long at a time, but I cover more ground, which means I'm walking faster.
Here is are two lovely pink flowers I noticed on the walk, looking very artistic against the weathered grey of the fence.
