Daily Diary, Day 961: Today was one of those days that didn't go the way I expected it to, but was a good day, never the less. First change of plans from my to-do list, was that my copyeditor finished Tides and and let me know it was now available to look at last evening. So, instead of working on my author friend's manuscript, this morning, I started working on my own manuscript.
That was going along beautifully, and I had gotten through first seven chapters, and had done the daily cleaning and was preparing to get ready for my walk, when I got a phone call from my oldest friend. For a variety of reasons that call lasted pretty much the rest of the morning. When I got off the phone I just had time to take a quick shower, prepare my lunch and get ready for my regular noon zoom meeting. After that meeting I had an hour scheduled phone call, and then after that, another unscheduled phone call.
So, here it is, after 3, time to do this post, and then go for my 40 minute walk. then maybe correct a couple more chapters before is time to start on dinner.
Last night we watched one of our quiet movies, and the first episode of Candice Noir. Poor woman, she never can get a break romantically. This may mean we watch one of our action movies, tonight, then another Candice.
And, if all goes well, I will have most of tomorrow to work steadily on my manuscript.
The weather is beautiful, sunny, with a light breeze. The bird are really going to town, and I've seen the squirrel twice, eyeing the bird feeder, but I don'think he has figured out how to get the seeds. My husband said when I was upstairs on the phone this morning, Leeza was outside when the squirrel tried to cross the backyard and she chased it, but thankfully didn't catch it. I will be curious to see if that keeps it away for awhile.
Here are one of my favorite flowers from yesterday's walk, reminds me of an orchid, and I am sure someone has told me what they are, but can't for the life of me remember. But now it is time to get that walk in and see what else the sun has brought out for me to photograph.
