Daily Diary, Day 959: A pleasant day so far, finally some sun in the afternoon. Got my walk in earlier, when it was still chilly, and I added 5 minutes on, so did a 35 minute walk, the last 15 minutes picking up the pace since it is hard not to bop along when listening to the Neville Brothers.
All day I've been alternating doing some research on dognapping, starting a Historical Tidbit post on that subject, and rereading the most recent Maggie Sullivan mystery by M. Ruth Myers, A Dame Worth Killing, to prepare to be a beta reader for her newest mystery, a spin off featuring a character from the original series. The first ebook in the original series is No Game for a Dame and is free, and I love the setting (1930s early 1940s midwest) and the homage to the hard-boiled detective books of that period, only in this case the PI is a woman. Do check it out!
Last night we watched the most recent episode of Star Trek, and Brokenwood, so we will probably watch the Candice Noir tonight.
Definitely a very relaxing day so far. I was going to put up a photo of one of the flowers I saw on my walk until I caught Leeza napping, and I couldn't pass up this cute picture. The flower photos can wait!
Hahaha.. I love your idea of a relaxing day!
