Daily Diary, Day 952:
I am continuing to take it slow, which means interspersing doing work on my to-do list with reading the science fiction novel, The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. Kindle says I have an hour left (smile), so if I continue to try to take a break from the pace of work from the last couple of months, I should be able to finish it today.
I also walked for 10 minutes (well, to be honest I think it was 12 minutes), and I enjoyed the smell of flowers in the air, as well as took the picture below. We are having morning and late afternoon fog, which will hover all day to the west. This photo was from around 11, when we finally had sun, but it is now about 2 and the fog is already starting to roll in. We call it May Gray and June Gloom, but it seems to have started early this year.
However, the walk was pleasant, and since I did the usual dusting and dry mopping, as well, this means I got 40 whole minutes of exercise. So far so good.
In the shower, I came up with a possible title for the next, fifth and final book in the Caelestis series, that I rather like: Where Glass Flowers Grow. If you read the first book in the series, you might get the reference.
After lunch I have a phone call scheduled, and then I think I will see if the novel really can be finished in an hour.
Finally, I spent the rest of my morning getting my monthly newsletter ready to go out tomorrow. This month it includes a sneak peek of the first two scenes in Tides of Acerba. My hope is that this will get people excited about buying the book when it comes out. The newsletter also explains how to participate in the monthly raffle I do for free audiobooks, this time, the boxed set of the first 3 books in the Caelestis series. Spotify has given authors codes to download books on Spotify and I have been giving away 15 each month. Perfect way to get caught up with books 1-3 before book 4 comes out next month. (See a theme here?)
There are also links in the newsletter to how to get the audio edition of Maids of Misfortune for only 99 cents. So, if you haven’t already signed up to get my monthly promotional letter, today might be a good time to do so, and it will come in your email inbox tomorrow, for free! Click here if interested:
Sounds like it was a perfect day! Glad you were able to walk again.
